The birthdays

You will have to excuse the disruption in the template. I felt that it was necessary to place a countdown on the blog in honor of Jeff's day of birth. You see in groupblonk we make a big deal about birthdays. We don't do Christmas, well we do celebrate the birth of Jesus we just don't get each other presents. Anyway the only time we buy presents for each other is on our birthday. So in honor of Jeffs birthday I have put a little countdown clock to Jeffs which is coming soon.

Just call me Martha

I woke up this morning and got a pair of pants out of the dryer but they had a hole in the side of them from where I put to many things in my pockets and the seems are coming loose. So I put those aside and got another pair out but when I went to button them I remembered that these are the ones that the button fell off but I went ahead and put them on anyway. On my way to work I thought, "Ya know I could probably sew that button on myself." So before I went into work this morning because I was going to be like 20 minutes early I went to Wal-Mart to pick up a little sewing kit for like a dollar. So I went to work and went to the bathroom and sewed on my button for my pants. So this marks the beginning of Hubbard fashion. Maybe next month I will release a new line of shirts. It will be great. Bor bye.

Salutations

Well, it looks like I haven't said anything on the blog lately, basically because nothing really exciting has happened. I still don't understand who the audience of this blog is. Are we supposed to be writing to eachother or to an unknown cyber-audience? This is exactly the problem we had with Linear, which was later to be renamed Surrender. We never knew who to invite because no one knew what the target audience was. If the target audience is in fact us, then that's much easier, but if our articles must take on a more cyber-journalistic approach, then this requires much more effort. Just let me know so I can focus my energies in that direction.

Ok, I'm just rambling because I have 10 minutes before my little chemistry class. I wish they'd teach me the right chemical compound to blow this building up! I'm done with school, folks. Ok, talk to you laters.

The Ball Game

So Raquel and I went to the U of L football game today. Her Dad had free tickets so we went with him and his wife Lisa. The seats were great, the weather was great, the game was even great. We were excited when they told us they had tickets, because we both love to watch football. We were ready. I got the camera ready the night before and put the battery on charge and we got up in the morning and did our thing which needs to be blogged by Rauquel because she has a story about this morning everyone needs to read. Anyway I grabbed the camera and my new binoculars that I haven't used yet so I was excited that I got to use them today. I walked with the binoculars around my neck. Raquel wouldn't walk near me becuase she thought I looked like a dork. We sat down at our seats and Raquel pulled camera out to take a couple pictures, and what does she find? I had forgotten to get the battery off the charger this morning. But we did have a good time with my binoculars and they performed beautifuly. It was like watching the game in HD. They were awesome. But we did have a good time and the Cards won 63 to 27. Oregon was the favorite but they got stomped. Welp hope you enjoyed. Bor Bye.

Awww yes the wonderfull Cheesecake. No folks not one of the knock offs from that little place known as the Cheesecake factory but a real home made Cheescake. This folks is probably the best Cheesecake I have tasted. Now I'm not just saying that becuase I made but it is Delish (Delicous). I am willing to part with the recipe if we have any takers. This is a carmel flavor but I can what ever flavor you like. Happy salivating.

Did you figure it out yet?

Could be the Moon. Could be Cheese. But I think that you might like what it actually is better.

,So I don't know that you can make this out very well but this is a picture of an Owl sitting on our neighbor's satellite dish. It was huge. It is the very first time I have ever seen an Owl before but I didn't get to hear hit Hoot. Welp hope you enjoy.

Adding a little color

Random

There we are. Raquel set the timer and ran to get in the picture. It was funny.

Pretty

Outside our hotel in the morning

A view from the top. Kind of pretty but it was hot up there and crowded. The ride up and down is awful. In the little cars they cram you in.

That's us on the lawn beneath the Arch

Kind of cool looking

It looks great from the outside.

A veiw of the Arch

I am almost there. Just a little farther.

The Great State of Iowa

Well I am back I hope. It has been forever since I have written anything but life has just been sort of routine for a while nothing real exciting happening but Raquel and I had a great weekend the past Labor Day. We loaded up the car and head west to the great land of Corn, I mean Iowa. The drive was supposed to be like 7 1/2 - 8 hours but we made good time and made it 6 1/2. We should have made it in 6 but we got lost in Peoria because of some construction detour on I-74. But we arrived safe and with no traffic violations which is good. We got to Chad and Shaina's house at like 10:00 PM and we sat and talked until like 1 or 2 in the morning. It was great seeing them again. The baby, Cael, was still awake when we got there which by the was is adorable. We had a great visit though. We got to see Chad's church out which seems to be doing great and the youth room is awesome. Though there isn't a lot to do in Danville, IA we had a great time just shooting the breeze and relaxing with some good friends. On Sunday after church Raquel and I left I Chad and Shaina's to got to St. Louis. It was about 3 hours from there. We just hung and saw the city that night. We went up in the Arch and by the way if ya get a chance to do that pass on it and just look at it from outside because it is much prettier from the outside than the inside. I will be posting some pictures shortly of the trip. We had a great time. Thanks Chad and Shaina for letting us stay with you. We hope to see you again soon.
