The Lake

So we had a blast at the lake this past weekend. We setup camp on Friday and we left on Sunday afternoon. It was great. It was a little hot but that is ok because it cooled down enough to sleep at night. The water felt great and we got to go tubing and stuff. The water was a little rough and I am sore now I went tubing. I can barely lift my arms to do anything without them hurting. I can't wait to go back. I think we are going to try and go on the 5th weekend in July. The boat did good finally. I think that we are finished working on the boat for now. Everything seemed to go well. I have some picture that I will upload soon. Welp see ya later.

Granny

Well folks my Granny died this past weekend. She was the coolest little old lady ever. If she didn't like something about you are something that was going on around her she told you straight up and didn't beat around the bush. She had been doing bad for while and we all new that it was coming but it was still sad to see her go even though we know that she is having a good time in heaven. The funeral got the whole family together though which was nice. We hadn't done that for a long time. Granny had 82 direct decendents and she everything to know about everyone of them. She was the best granny ever. I love having the big family though. It is great having 300 people around when something is wrong. Hopefully I will be able to continue the big family tradition.

The next project.

So the driveway is finished and now we are in desparate need of any landscaping ideas you might have. You may use the pictures on the website or I have plenty others I can put on the blog. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping to get some landscaping done before the winter season.

Well well well....

I would just like to extend my congratulations to the family Hubbard. A driveway is quite a committment. It's like saying to the neighborhood, "We're here to stay, folks." I mean, a house, sure you can just pick up and take anywhere you'd like, but once you've destroyed grass, poured tons of rock, and finally slapped down layers of concrete, there's not much more that the mean neighbors can do except secretly spy on you while you're asleep. Again, well done, Hubbards. Keep up the good work.

Things Are Looking Up

So I don't want to be too specific on here as I don't know who all reads GroupBlonk, but things are looking promising. I'm happy and sad, but moreso just a little scared. I'm all for change except for when it's me who has to. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

Great Weekend!!

We had a great weekend the last couple of days. We went to see Les Mis on Friday night which is just incredible. That is the second time that I have seen. The first time I saw it was in New York at the Imperial Theater there. It was better in New York but I was much more comfortable in our box seats at Kentucky Center than in the seats at the Imperial theater. Anyway that was Friday Night and on Saturday I got my oil changed in my truck and then I cut the grass and we went to a couple of graduation parties. One for Raquel's sister, Devin, and the other for Eric's girlfriend Elizabeth. On Sunday we went to church and heard a great sermon by Kyle Idlman and then we left from there and went to the lake to run the boat around for a while. The boat ran ok for the first time out this year it was making a funny sound knocking sound so we pulled it out of the water so we can work on it sometime in these upcoming weeks before the 24th because we are going back. After we got home from the lake we just hung out at the house and continued working on our puzzle. This puzzle is huge. It is 40 inches by 60 inches. It takes up our entire Kitchen table and we just now have both the top and the bottom edges completed with some of the sides. The puzzle if of the Creation of Adam. We are going to hang in out living room when we get it completed. I can't wait. Welp that was my weekend see ya soon.

Jeff Emerges

You know how the world felt when Barbra Streisand gave a concert in New York City after not having sung in public in over 20 years, well I know that's how you must be feeling right now, and I'm here to tell you that the initial shock and excitement will wear off in due time. After all, they say that an Olympic gold medalist only feels the intense rush of being the world's best athlete in their particular field for fifteen minutes, so I expect your joy to subside in about 11-13 minutes.

But nevertheless, I am back, and better than ever! Regular posts to follow. I won't write too much now, because I honestly don't know how much you all can handle. Take care until next time.

We are finally making some progress folks.

Not to long ago I wrote my congressmen and the Whitehouse about this issue. It is about time we start moving into this. It will save government, business, and schools millions of dollars each year if pornography is forced to use .XXX. Below is the article I found today.

Web porn rated .xxx - Technology - International Herald Tribune: "Web porn rated .xxx

WASHINGTON The Internet's primary oversight body has approved a plan to create a virtual red-light district that would enable pornographic Web sites to use new addresses ending in .xxx.

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers said it would begin negotiations with ICM Registry, run by the British businessman Stuart Lawley, to iron out technical issues and prices for the new Web addresses.

Pornographic sites, a $12 billion industry, could begin buying .xxx addresses as early as this autumn, depending on ICM's plans, Kieran Baker, the Icann spokesman, said. The new pornography suffix was among 10 under consideration by the regulatory group, which also recently approved addresses ending in 'jobs' and 'travel.'

ICM contends that the .xxx Web addresses, which it plans to sell for $60 a year, will keep the material away from children, if pornographic sites adopt the suffix so that filtering software can more effectively block access. The $60 price is roughly 10 times as much as other kinds of companies pay for .com names.

'It will further help to protect kids,' said John Morris, staff counsel at the Center for Democracy and Technology here.

Morris predicted that some pornographic sites would choose to buy .xxx Web addresses but that others would continue to use .com.
