Thunder Fun!!!
So Raquel and I went to Thunder Over Louisville with Eric, Elizabeth, and Chief yesterday. Some of us had a great time but other were freezing. We took like 40 drinks with us and had frozen them so that they would be cold all day long so that we would have to pay the ridiculous price at the street vendors. It turned out though that we didn't even have to do all that because the temperature was 40 degrees all day long with a wind chill that put it close to freezing. The weather was ridiculous. I couldn't believe it. I was really missing our usual seat which is up in the Galt House which is a hotel right on the river. When you are up there you can go in and out all day long resting on the couches and staying warm until you are ready to come out, but this year we were down the common folk. Anyway this is the end of April and we had snow and sleet last night while at thunder. I got up for like 1 minute to help Raquel cover up and it was nice a calm then but all of a sudden it started to sleet and during that 1 minute my seat filled up with sleet and my seat was all wet. I was so mad. We did make it through the day and for all of you who don't know what Thunder Over Louisville is. It is the biggest display of fireworks in America. It is the event that kicks off the Derby Festival here in the Bluegrass. We all had a good time though I think and I am sure that we will be there next year as well.
